Estelle Eugene organised a Jewish day of yoga at JW3, the ground-breaking new JCC in North London (for the non-British, the name JW3 is a play on the postal code NW3 for North West London…).

Estelle writes that it was “a most enjoyable Jewish Yoga Network Day on Sunday at the new JW3 Centre in Hampstead, London with three excellent yoga sessions from guest teachers Roslyn Anderson BWY teacher who created a sublime atmosphere in her session, Lisa Morris –a vigorous talented Iyengar Teacher who put the class through its paces, Richard Kravetz regional office for the BWY poured out his great and vast experience for us all. In the Kavannah Yoga session with Maxine Levy & Rabbi Mark Goldsmith there were beautiful teachings from both traditions on breath and strangely but irresistibly – on hands and the way they are used. Jonathan Sattin – ex-lawyer and founder of the fabulous Tri Yoga Centres in Primrose Hill, Chelsea, Soho and Convent Garden treated us to the history of their founding and his personal journey via yoga and meditation that led him to relinquish his legal career and – fortunately for many many of us – realise his dream, his vocation – to open his yoga studios – with many a humorous reminisce en route”.
