DR ZVI BELLIN holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Counseling and is a licensed therapist in Maryland and DC. Zvi directs intimate retreats for the Jewish community that are both spiritually uplifting and intellectually stimulating. Practicing Vinyasa-style Yoga for over ten years, he completed a Yoga Alliance approved Registered Yoga Teacher training at Flow Yoga in D.C. in 2008. His teaching style follows the tradition of blending Torah study with contemplative Jewish practice. Zvi has studied extensively with teachers spanning various Jewish denominations, including, Rabbi David Zeller, Miriam Ribner, Rabbi Zvi Miller, and Rabbi Jeff Roth. Zvi also directs retreats for the GLBT Jewish community through Nehirim (nehirim.org) and is always looking for new Jewish Yoga teachers to teach Yoga in different locations.

JULIE EMDEN is a Certified Halprin Practitioner. Julie Emden is an expressive arts practitioner (Halprin Practitioner), improvisational movement artist, yoga instructor, and educator. Julie is a graduate of teaching certification programs in Iyengar-based yoga from the Advanced Studies Program at the Yoga Room in Berkeley; in Torah Yoga and in Dance Midrash from the Elat Chayyim Center for Jewish Spirituality; and in Movement-based Expressive Arts Education and Therapy from Tamalpa Institute. She directs the Jewish Wellness and Embodied Jewish Learning Initiative at the Bureau of Jewish Education in San Francisco, teaches yoga with the Institute for Jewish Spirituality, and co-facilitates Sacred Dance Circles in Berkeley, California.

AVIVA MELISSA FRANK
Aviva Melissa Frank is a certified Yoga Therapist, Sound Healer, Mediator and has trained (500 hr) with Purusha Yoga in San Francisco and Atmananda Yoga Sequence in NYC. She has taught all over the US and in Israel. She infuses her workshops, classes and one-on-ones with music, movement, pranyama (breath-work), guided meditation and art. Her style is rooted in Vinyasa and she uses her dance background to bring an energetic flow to her classes. She also incorporates in the wisdom of Ayurvedic medicine, the Chakra system and Kabbalah. Aviva has created an initiative called Downward Dogs for Peace, a six-time program that helps one achieve their goals and bring more peace to their lives.

SUZANNE SIMON is a certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in Huntington Beach. She has been practicing Iyengar Yoga for over a decade. She is a graduate of the 500-hour Iyengar Yoga Teacher Training Program in Los Angeles, California. BECCA GORDON teaches private yoga lessons specializing in those that are brand new to yoga. ILANA ROGEL. Certified Ashtanga Yoga Instructor. Provides on-going private and semi private yoga classes designed to fit each person’s individual goals. Along, with semi-private co-ed classes, provides instruction for women only; targeting religious women who would like to get some exercise but can not do so in a co-ed environment. The teachings are based on traditional Ashtanga yoga. The exercises are gentle and challenging.

IDA UNGER. Yoga Garden Studios. Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor, teaches at her home studio, Yoga Garden Studios, as well as Santa Monica College. Ida grew up with a Yeshiva education and a love of Torah study. As an adult she found yoga. Eventually a connection between her Jewish roots and her yogic wings took place, resulting in a deepening and heightening of both. Join her on this exciting journey.
