A full day learning and experiencing yoga from a variety of traditions.

10.15 – 11.30am First yoga session with JW3’s regular yoga teacher Maxine Levy. This session will finish with some pranayama (breathing exercises) and run seamlessly into the next session

11.30am – 12noon Guided Yoga Nidra (a technique which systematically and deeply relaxes body and mind) led by Barbara Joseph.

12noon – 1.15pm Lunch break

1.15 – 1.50pm Body Prayer – there are many ways to pray – speaking through our body is one. Experience connecting the spirit of Jewish Spiritual Direction with Rabbi Lisa Barrett who trained in this method in the U.S. Rabbi Lisa is part of the Rabbinic team at Hendon Danescroft Synagogue.

2 – 3.30om The fabulous idiosyncratic David Sye founder of Yoga Beats and Yoga Beats Conflicts leads the second Yoga session with the theme, Yoga was originally a doorway back into the heart of love.

3.35 – 4.05pm Daniel Newman founder of HaMakom for Wellbeing & Spirituality will tell participants about his fast-growing initiative which includes participation in Jewish Mindfullness Meditation giving us an experience of that as well.
